Trash compactor repair and preventative maintenance

Potential for major breakdowns and out-of-service costs increase during the colder weather that is upon us. Eagle Equipment Corporation can provide this service to your refuse/recycling equipment as follows:

  1. Inspect and set system hydraulic pressure.
  2. Inspect all hydraulic lines and connections for tightness and wear.
  3. Inspect all electrical connections for tightness and corrosion.
  4. Clean and/or replace hydraulic filters and screens.
  5. Inspect condition and level of hydraulic oil. Fill reservoir as needed.
  6. Check for safety compliance with OSHA and ANSI Requirements; install safety/warning signs as needed.
  7. Lubricate equipment per manufacturer’s recommendations.

In difficult economic times every business searches for opportunities to reduce costs. It may be tempting to postpone planned/scheduled equipment maintenance. Please consider that under-performing equipment can prove to be much more expensive than the cost of the service.

If you have any questions or wish to schedule service, please call us at 1-800-253-1650 or get in touch here.

CAD Drawings

One of the services we can provide for you is a CAD drawing designed specifically to show your application's layout and dimensions. Not everyone can envision what a piece of equipment might look like in a given space, and a drawing gives you real, accurate measurements to help you plan the machine and orientation that works best for your business.

Auger Compactors

Auger Compactors are easy to use, require less maintenance, and reduce the amount of waste pick-ups your hauler needs to make. Augers are purely electric; there is zero hydraulic fluid to worry about. Features such as the short tail for dock feeding, or rear feeding, and the check valve action that assures materials stay in the container, all add up to a reliable auger compactor for years of trouble-free performance. A stationary auger is ideal for wet waste such as OCC and dry waste, and with a displacement rate of 425 cubic yards of material, and an auger that always moves forward, you can be confident that your machine will run on time every time.

Some of the advantages of using an using an auger compactor include:

  • Denser waste volume, reducing transport movements and cost
  • Minimize waste storage space on site
  • 10-15 decibels quieter than conventional compactors
  • Eliminates the task of cleaning and maintaining the cylinder housing cavity
  • Lack of hydraulics/hydraulic oil eliminates the risk of oil spills
  • Fewer components to maintain than conventional compactors
  • Reducing hauls cuts down on GHG emissions

Auger Compactors are easy to use and maintenance friendly. Designed to deliver reliable performance in commercial and industrial applications, these compactors are highly efficient and built to last. Whether you need to reduce collection pickups, manage hard-to-compact refuse, or find a solution for a limited footprint, we can provide the right compaction solution for you.
